By synthesizing recent literature from 2015–2025, this paper reviews: (i) the physiological overlap between stress and disease, (ii) the failure of traditional "compliance" models in light of learning theory, (iii) the crisis of undiagnosed behavioral etiologies for common veterinary presentations, and (iv) the future of "One Behavior" medicine. The conclusion is unequivocal: veterinary practices that fail to integrate applied ethology are not only less effective clinically but are actively contributing to welfare crises, including surrender, euthanasia, and occupational burnout.
