Accessing AST requires authorization. Apple restricts it for three reasons:

Download the AST_1.5.3_30.dmg from GSX. Inside, locate the AST_1.5.3_30.iso or .img file. Use Terminal: While consumer diagnostics return a simple reference code (e
sudo dd if=/path/to/AST_1.5.3_30.iso of=/dev/rdisk2 bs=1m
Warning: Double-check your disk identifier. Wiping the wrong drive is irreversible.
After authentication, the toolkit will auto-detect the Mac model and present a suite of tests:
