In the vanilla game, if you change a setting (like shadows or AI difficulty), you have to reload the track, which takes time. The paid version of CM uses a custom loader.
Managing car setups (force feedback, tire pressures, suspension) is tedious in the base game. CM provides a dedicated setup page where you can see a summary of your current setup, compare it to others, and save profiles easily.
With the full version unlocked via a legitimate Assetto Corsa Content Manager Key, the software becomes a command center. Even the free version is good, but the "Full" version unlocks features that feel like cheating (in a good way).
