Plot Summary:
Jason Todd, the second Robin, discovers his biological mother, Sheila Haywood, in Lebanon. Unbeknownst to him, Sheila is working for the Joker as a pawn in a blackmail scheme involving medical supplies. The Joker captures both Jason and Sheila, beats Jason nearly to death with a crowbar, and leaves them in a warehouse rigged to explode. Batman arrives too late; the warehouse detonates, killing Jason. Batman later confronts the Joker (who has become a UN ambassador) but refuses to kill him, upholding his moral code.
