Bonelab Sideload
You’ll need:
First-time setup takes ~20 minutes and feels scary if you’ve never sideloaded. But once dev mode is on, you never touch it again. bonelab sideload
Bonelab on its own is a polarizing, brilliant, and buggy ode to physics-driven VR. But sideloading — manually dragging custom avatars, levels, weapons, and game modes into the Quest’s file system — transforms it from a short, janky campaign into an endless creative engine. It’s the VR equivalent of Garry’s Mod meeting John Wick in a liminal space. However, the process is still more PC tinkerer than console plug-and-play. You’ll need:
Sideloading = installing user-created content (mods, maps, weapons, scripts) into your local Bonelab game files rather than getting it through an official in-game store. It unlocks: First-time setup takes ~20 minutes and feels scary
Expect major variety: from polished “total conversion” mods to quick prototypes and playgrounds for physics experiments.
In SideQuest, look for the "Folder" icon (File Explorer). Click it. Navigate to:
This PC\Quest 2\Internal Storage\Android\data\StressLevelZero.Bonelab\files\
Note: For Quest 3, the folder path is identical. If you don’t see "Android\data," your headset might be in charging-only mode.
