We are producing 72 unique short films (5–15 minutes each) based on the ancient Indian aesthetic concept of Navarasa (The Nine Emotions).
The 72-film call was, in effect, a silent critique of Bollywood’s current typecasting epidemic. For a decade, Hindi cinema’s A-list has been locked into variants of Veera (action-hero) or Shringara (romantic lead). Character actors over 45 are reduced to parental archetypes. Actresses over 35 disappear.
