The official DVD was mastered at 30fps (due to a transfer error), introducing a "soap opera effect" that ruined the film's atmospheric dread. The OK.ru version is a proper 24fps rip sourced from a DCP (Digital Cinema Package) leak. This restores director Javier Espinoza's intended staccato rhythm.

The film features a haunting score by Murcof (a Mexican experimental electronic musician). The lower frequencies (sub-bass) were neutered on the DVD release. The OK.ru version includes a 5.1 AAC audio track that, when played through decent headphones, reveals a layer of sub-audible whispers—the "ghosts" of Bruno's past lives.
