Not every channel labeled "new" is worth your time. To avoid malware and broken links, screen channels using these three rules:
1. The Bot Test (Crucial) Never download files directly from a sketchy website link posted in a chat. The safest new channels use a Telegram Bot.
2. The Metadata Check A good channel posts screenshots of the book cover and the metadata page (showing file size and format). If a channel just spams links saying "Download here," skip it. Quality channels tell you if the EPUB is "Retail" (perfect) or "OCR Scanned" (full of typos).
3. The Ratio of Free to Paid Beware of channels that require you to buy a "premium key" to access new releases. The spirit of the EPUB trading community is free exchange. While donations are fine, hard paywalls for new files are a red flag.
