Before diving into advanced fixes, follow these immediate protocols to minimize data loss:

If the project paths or spec directories have moved, or if the Project.ini file points to a network location that is currently offline or mapped to a different drive letter, Error 6007 will occur when the software tries to query a non-existent path.

Your project's spec file (e.g., myspec.mdb) may have internal corruption—perhaps due to a power outage, improper shutdown, or a failed component edit. CADWorx cannot parse the spec tables, triggering error 6007 when reading dimensions or end types.

If you are migrating from an older CADWorx version (e.g., 2015 to 2024):

Step 1: Open CADWorx Spec Editor from the Windows Start menu. Step 2: Use Spec → Upgrade and select your old .mdb file. Step 3: Save the upgraded version with a new name (e.g., myspec_converted.mdb). Step 4: Set this new spec as active in your CADWorx project setup.
