Facetracknoir V201 Install May 2026
After installation, DO NOT LAUNCH YET.
Why? v201 uses DirectShow filters that Windows 10 tries to "sandbox." Compatibility mode forces the camera drivers to behave.
Cause: Missing Visual C++ 2013 redistributable.
Fix: Download vcredist_x86.exe (even on 64-bit Windows) from Microsoft. facetracknoir v201 install
Run through this after your facetracknoir v201 install:

If all boxes are checked – congratulations. You have a fully functional, zero-cost head tracking system.
The installer will ask which "tracking methods" to install. You see three options: Cause: Missing Visual C++ 2013 redistributable
Do not uncheck "PointTracker" – v201 has a bug where unchecking it breaks the DLL registration for the entire app.
Use TrackIR Enhanced (Fake a TrackIR 4 Pro device).
