Fifa 14 Sweetfx Graphics Mod Upd May 2026

Fix: This is a DirectX DLL conflict. Delete the d3d9.dll file from the FIFA 14 Game folder and replace it with the dxgi.dll version (rename it to d3d9.dll if necessary). Or, run the game in Windows 8 Compatibility mode.

We are going to achieve the same high-contrast, color-popping look of the classic SweetFX mods but using the modern ReShade framework.

Step 1: The Clean Sweep Delete any old SweetFX files in your FIFA 14/Game folder. Look for:

Step 2: Download the "FIFA 14 Next-Gen LUT" Search for "FIFA 14 Next-Gen LUT 2023" (or use my preset below). The key is that we want a LUT (Look Up Table) based filter, not a heavy depth-dependent effect (which kills FPS).

Step 3: Install Modern ReShade

Step 4: The "SweetFX Classic" Preset Once in game, press Home to open the ReShade overlay. Navigate to the Settings tab and create a preset called FIFA14_SweetFX.ini.

Copy this text into a Notepad file and save it as FIFA14_SweetFX.ini in your FIFA 14/Game folder:

[SweetFX]
#define USE_SMAA_ANTIALIASING 1
#define USE_LUMASHARPEN 1
#define USE_VIBRANCE 1
#define USE_CURVES 1

[Vibrance.fx] #define Vibrance_RGB_Balance float3(1.00, 0.95, 1.10) // Slightly cooler temps (classic FIFA) #define Vibrance_Strength 0.45

[Curves.fx] #define Curves_contrast 1.20 // That "pop" you miss from 2014 fifa 14 sweetfx graphics mod upd

[LumaSharpen.fx] #define sharp_strength 0.65

Step 5: The "Fake" 4K Texture Filter To really update the mod, go into your GPU control panel (Nvidia/AMD) and force:

This forces the old textures to look sharper than the original mod creators ever intended. Fix: This is a DirectX DLL conflict

SweetFX is a post-processing shader suite that applies global color grading, sharpening, anti-aliasing, and film-like effects to DirectX games. It runs by injecting DLLs and configuration files into the game folder and modifies the final rendered image without altering game assets.

Below is a conceptual preset breakdown (translate into SweetFX .txt syntax per your version):

Adjust strengths to avoid unnatural skin tones, especially on players' faces.

SweetFX is a post-processing injector tool (based on ReShade) that hooks into a game’s DirectX renderer. It doesn’t change the game's code; it simply applies shaders on top of the final image. This allows you to add effects like SMAA (Enhanced Subpixel Morphological Antialiasing), HDR (High Dynamic Range) , Lift/Gamma/Gain color correction, and Vibrance. Step 2: Download the "FIFA 14 Next-Gen LUT"

Disclaimer: This mod does not modify the game’s .exe or online files. It is purely visual. However, always back up your game before modding.
