
No patch is perfect. Dammitbird has acknowledged two lingering problems that will be addressed in the next minor update (v0.56):
The Heavy Hearts subreddit and Discord have been largely positive. User @GloomySunday_VN writes: “HF1 saved my 12-hour save. I was literally crying (not from the story, but from the crash loop). The Lakeside scene now plays perfectly, and honestly? It hits harder with the music back.”
Conversely, some fans expressed frustration that the hotfix did not add any new content. Dammitbird responded directly in the Discord #dev-announcements channel: Heavy Hearts -v0.55 Hotfix 1- -Dammitbird-
“I hear you. Hotfix 1 is purely stability. New content—specifically the Halloween interlude and the second half of Clara’s epilogue—is slated for v0.56 in late August. I don’t ship broken games if I can help it. Thank you for your patience.”
