Released late in the 3DS lifecycle, Medarot 8 is unique. Unlike the DS titles (Medarot DS and Medarot 7), which experimented with 3D overworlds, Medarot 8 returned to the series' roots: a 2D top-down RPG reminiscent of the GameBoy Advance era.
