The Niramare quest involves multiple steps and can be quite lengthy. Below are the general steps:

At the altar, you’ll face Vortex-Soul Niramare, a ghostly leviathan with 120,000 HP.

Defeat strategy: Save your ultimate charge for Phase 3. Chain your party’s special attacks during the enrage to burst down the remaining HP before the self-heal triggers.


Oliver’s Village – Motorville The story opens on young Oliver grieving his mother, Allie, who died saving him from a drowning accident. One night, his toy doll—given to him by his mother—transforms into a fairy named Drippy (Lord High Lord of the Fairies). Drippy reveals that Oliver’s tears have unlocked a magical ability: Oliver is the Pure-Hearted One destined to save a parallel world, Ni no Kuni, from the evil Wizard Shadar.

Oliver follows Drippy through a magical wardrobe into Swinging Bog, the first area of Ni no Kuni. There, he learns that Shadar has been stealing souls and emotions from people. Most importantly, Oliver’s mother has a counterpart in this world: Auntie Cass, the Grand Sage of the Ivory Tower, who has had her heart shattered by Shadar.

In Ding Dong Dell (yes, that’s the name), Oliver meets the cowardly king Marcassin and learns to heal broken hearts. Using the Heartwand and Spellbook, Oliver must venture into people’s hearts (literal dungeons) to defeat their sorrows and restore their emotions.
