Bootloader Status – Locked bootloader recommended for guaranteed OTA updates. Unlocked may still work but could break some carrier features.

Docomo Bloatware – Stock ROM includes Japanese carrier apps (dメニュー, dアカウント, etc.). These can be disabled, not easily removed without root.

Download firmware:

Flash using New Flasher:

- Extract NewFlasher.exe into FTF folder.
- Open CMD as admin in that folder.
- Boot phone into Flashmode (green LED).
- Run: newflasher.exe
- Follow prompts: 
     a) Keep TA partition (type 'y' for yes – important!)
     b) Skip fwinfo (type 'n')
     c) Skip flashing userdata if you want to keep data (but clean install recommended)
