If you only add a new dt00_ file, the game won't automatically recognize it. You must edit the settings.exe (not the in-game menu).

  • Under "Text Language", select your preferred menu language.
  • Click OK and launch the game.
  • Pro tip: Some repacks remove commentary languages from the settings.exe dropdown. If a language is missing, you may need to edit the registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KONAMI\PES2013\Settings – but this is for advanced users only. pes 2013 language files pro evolution soccer 2013 at top

    Kitserver is highly recommended for managing multiple languages without overwriting. If you only add a new dt00_ file,

    Example:
    img.dir = ".\img"
    img.dir = ".\kitserver\img" Under "Text Language" , select your preferred menu language

    Now you can swap language files by moving them in/out of the kitserver\img folder.

  • Replace files: Move new files into the game’s folder per instructions.
  • Test: Launch the game and check menus, team names, and in-match commentary. If something breaks, restore backups and retry.
  • Cause: Missing dt01.img or dt02.img (crowd and stadium sounds). Some repacks strip these for size.
    Solution: Download original dt01.img and dt02.img from a trusted backup and place them in the /img folder.
