11 - Qsp Player Android

If no QSP app works on your Android 11 build (e.g., Samsung One UI 5.0 restrictions), you can run the Linux QSP interpreter via Termux.

This is for power users only—it bypasses all Android 11 storage restrictions entirely.

Yes, QSP Player can run on Android 11 — but not out of the box. If you’re using an outdated build, expect crashes when loading saves or accessing media assets (images, music). The golden rule: use a version from late 2022 onward, and always manually navigate to your game file via SAF.

Android 11 didn’t kill QSP on mobile — it just demanded a little more patience and a few more taps.

As of now, the most stable option for Android 11 is QSP Player 1.1.0 (or newer, unofficial builds). The original “QSP for Android” by kiselev (last updated for Android 8) tends to fail. The community-recommended fork is QSPanel or the build from AleksVS (GitHub), which explicitly added Android 11+ SAF support.

After installation, do not open the app yet. Do this first:

  • If you don't see "All files access," go back to the app info screen, tap "More" (three dots) > Allow restricted settings (Required for Android 11+ legacy apps).
  • If you skip this, the player will load a black screen or show "No files found."

Running a QSP player on Android 11 is not a "tap and play" experience. Because the software predates Google’s modern security model, you must manually grant "All files access" and place your games in the correct directory.

    Quick Recap for success:

If you follow this guide, your Android 11 phone will turn into a powerful interactive fiction machine. Happy questing!
