The tool will display a verbose log. You will see:

Do not close the window until you see: "Reset complete! Please reboot." Now, manually click "Check for updates

  • Disable Antivirus
    Many 32-bit antivirus programs (Avast, AVG, Norton) lock the SoftwareDistribution folder. Turn them off temporarily.

  • Even with a trustworthy tool, always back up your system.
