Seiki: Sk720t Driver Install

Many driver issues are actually firmware bugs. Seiki released a firmware update for the SK720T that fixes EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) problems.

If Windows Update does not find a driver, you can force Windows to use a generic driver that often works perfectly with Seiki monitors, or manually select a driver if you have the downloaded file. seiki sk720t driver install

  • Right-click on the monitor listed and select Update driver.
  • Select Browse my computer for drivers.
  • Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  • Scenario A (If you have a driver file):
  • Scenario B (Using Built-in Drivers - Recommended):
  • Once installed, close Device Manager and restart your computer.

  • If you find an INF file (e.g., oem0.inf), right-click the unknown device > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Have Disk > Browse to that INF file.
  • If no INF exists, you must create one. This is highly technical. Sample INF for PL-2303:
    [Version]
    Signature="$WINDOWS NT$"
    Class=Ports
    [Manufacturer]
    "Prolific" = Prolific, NTamd64
    [Prolific.NTamd64]
    "Seiki SK720T Touch" = Ports, USB\VID_067B&PID_2303

    (This is a template—do not use unless you understand driver signing.)
