These brands use heavy security. You often need to short a test point to enter BROM mode.

For DDR4 modules, locate the WP pin (usually pin 223 on 260-pin SODIMM) and connect it to GND. Some programmers have a jumper for this. Without disabling WP, the tool will always time out.
