Strong Srt 4940 Software Download May 2026

This is the most skipped step—and the most dangerous. The Strong SRT 4940 has two hardware versions (V1 and V2). Installing the wrong firmware will turn your receiver into a brick.

After a successful Strong SRT 4940 software download and installation, you must perform a factory reset to clear old configuration data. No sticker

On the receiver: Press and hold the "Standby" button on the front panel while reconnecting the power cord. Keep holding until the display shows --- or LOAD. This puts the receiver into bootloader mode.

On the PC loader, click "Download" or "Start".

Wait for progress to reach 100% (approx. 2–3 minutes). Do not interrupt power or disconnect the cable.

Once completed, the receiver will reboot automatically. Perform a Factory Reset from the menu, then Auto Scan for channels.
