The original manuscripts were smuggled out of prison in pieces. The first print run by Penerbit Widjaja (Jakarta, 1948) was suppressed after Tan Malaka's mysterious execution in 1949. Later editions by Penerbit Teplok (2000) and Ultimus (2014) are often out of print or limited to niche second-hand bookstores in Yogyakarta. Consequently, the PDF remains the only accessible version for the global diaspora.
