No software is perfect. Version 1.0.36 has a few limitations:
Boring? Yes. Essential? Absolutely. The Utility plugin lets you flip polarity (phase), mute left/right channels, swap stereo channels, and add DC offset. It is the Swiss Army knife for fixing routing problems mid-mix.
If you have an older version of the DAW Essentials Collection installed:
6. Equalizer (EQ)
7. Filter
8. Reverb
9. Delay
10. Chorus
11. Flanger
12. Phaser
13. Tremolo
Speaking of de-essing... many commercial de-essers cost $50+. The Essentials De-Esser is simple: a frequency selector, a threshold, and a reduction amount. But it sounds smooth. Because it uses the same internal sidechain detection as the Dynamic EQ, it avoids the "lispy" artifacts found in cheaper alternatives.
For those, pair this collection with something like TAL-Reverb-4 (free) and Softube Saturation Knob (free). Tracktion Software DAW Essentials Collection 1.0.36
