This often happens with the original Tsukihime on modern Windows systems. tsukihime save file

Cause: Encoding mismatch (Japanese vs. English system locale). Fix: Set your Windows System Locale to Japanese (Region → Administrative → Change system locale → Japanese). Or use Locale Emulator to run Tsukihime in Japanese mode.

This is a grey area. Type-Moon has never issued a statement against save file sharing because save files contain no game code—only text flags and binary data. Search for: "tsukihime 100% save" or "tsukihime global

Many players look for downloadable save files to unlock the Gallery (CGs) or the "Eclipse" scenario without playing through every route. This is very common for the original Tsukihime.

Crucially, the game uses a Tsukihime.sav (no number) for system data (gallery, music, scene flags). If you download a 100% save file online, you must overwrite this file to unlock all CGs and endings.
