No product is perfect. The Ultimate Multi Tool v04 New has one significant downside: the price. With an MSRP of $149.99, it sits at the top of the premium tier. Furthermore, due to the high demand for CPM MagnaCut steel, production batches are small. As of this writing, the tool is sold out on the manufacturer's website and only available via third-party stockists at a 15-20% markup.

Unlike the V03’s useless flat bits, the V04 accepts standard hex bits. The magnetic holder is strong (holds a bit upside down). Comes with a double-sided Phillips #2 / flat 3/16” bit. You can add your own – works with Wiha, DeWalt, etc. Only downside: No locking mechanism for the driver itself – it can fold under extreme torque (above ~35 in-lbs). No product is perfect
