Virar-alibaug Multimodal Corridor | Route Map
This is the most developed segment of the route map. The VAMC aligns closely with the existing Shilphata Road and runs parallel to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway for a stretch.
Assumption: corridor follows a roughly north–south spine west of the central Mumbai axis, connecting Virar in Palghar district through Western/Trans-Harbour suburbs, across a new or upgraded coastal crossing, terminating at Alibaug. virar-alibaug multimodal corridor route map

The map also shows reserved median space for a dedicated rail corridor (similar to Delhi–Meerut RRTS). Planned: This is the most developed segment of the route map

Unlike a straight line, the VAMC map swerves sharply Eastward after Vasai. It bypasses the heavily congested western suburbs (Borivali, Kandivali) entirely. Instead, it cuts through:
