Wii — U Download Games

The Wii U eShop sold Virtual Console games from NES, SNES, N64, GBA, DS, and more. These are download games too.

To access Wii mode downloads:
Boot into Wii Menu → Wii Shop Channel → Titles You’ve Downloaded.

The Wii U eShop, launched alongside the console, was Nintendo's digital storefront where users could browse, purchase, and download games directly to their Wii U. This service was a substantial step forward for Nintendo, which had been traditionally more conservative in its approach to digital distribution compared to its competitors. Wii U Download Games

The Nintendo eShop for Wii U closed permanently on March 27, 2023.
You can no longer purchase new games, DLC, or download demos. You cannot add funds via credit card or eShop cards.
