A thunderstorm over the Rainforest District. A jaguar named Diego is seen terrified — not of thunder, but of his own reflection. He’s become inexplicably afraid of meat, even the scent of it. Across town in Savanna Central, a timid hamster librarian named Penny suddenly attacks a rhino bus driver, displaying unnatural strength and aggression.
Zootopia is flipping.
The sequel is expected to dive deeper into Nick’s backstory. We may meet his mother, or face a villain from his hustling days. The Zootopia 2 full narrative reportedly includes a flashback sequence showing a young Nick forming a fox-only gang, which now threatens the city’s peace.
