Sometimes, Windows 10 or 11 will not automatically run the installer on the virtual CD, or it may fail to find drivers via Windows Update. If Device Manager shows the MF180 under "Other Devices" with a yellow exclamation mark, you must install the drivers manually.

  • Point to the Virtual CD:
  • Allow Installation: Windows will search the folder, find the .inf files, and install the driver. You may see a prompt asking to trust the software publisher; click Install.

    • In Device Manager, under Modems, you should see ZTE USB Modem (or similar).
