Coloso Solkorra Class Top | 2026 |

Standard YKK zippers are loud. The Class Top utilizes a magnetic-assisted, self-healing coil zipper with a rubberized, angled pull tab. You can unzip the main front in under one second, but the magnetic lock ensures it never drifts down. More importantly, the teeth are coated in a Teflon derivative that eliminates metallic chatter.

The Coloso Solkorra class boasts an impressive array of attributes that set it apart from its peers. With a focus on versatility, this ship excels in multiple areas, making it a preferred choice for various missions.

Let’s be honest. You probably do not need a $895 tactical jacket. But if you fit any of the following profiles, the Class Top is arguably the best investment in your kit:

The Solkorra series, developed by the ingenious minds at Eve Online's in-game lore, represents a pinnacle of engineering and technological prowess. Specifically, the Coloso variant stands as a testament to the innovative spirit of its creators, embodying both power and elegance in its design. As a class, it is not just a ship but a statement of dominance and capability. coloso solkorra class top

We took the Coloso Solkorra Class Top through a 72-hour trial in the Scottish Highlands (rain, wind, 6°C) and a desert trial in Nevada (dry heat, 38°C).

The Wet Test: Standing under a waterfall simulation for 10 minutes. Result: The jacket beaded water perfectly. The internal vapor lock was minimal. Unlike Gore-Tex, which felt clammy after 20 minutes of hiking, the Solkorra membrane started "pumping" moisture after 15 minutes of high exertion. By minute 30, the inside of the jacket was dry.

The Abrasion Test: Dragging the sleeve across rough granite. Result: Minor scuffing on the face fabric, but no tearing. The 500D ripstop held. Standard YKK zippers are loud

The Silent Test: Walking through dense bramble. Result: The "whisper rating" of the Class Top is exceptional. It sounds like a canvas work jacket, not a tent.

The Class Top has 8 external pockets, but you can only see 4. The other four are internal drop pockets accessible via vertical side slits. These are designed to hold rifle magazines, radios, or a 32oz water bottle flush against your ribs, distributing weight evenly so the jacket doesn't sag.

While not a full storm shell, the Solkorra Class Top handles significant weather with intelligent features. Critical Tip: If you plan to layer this

Ordering a Class Top is tricky. Coloso uses "European Athletic" sizing.

Critical Tip: If you plan to layer this over a fleece and under a plate carrier, size UP one full size. The Solkorra membrane works best with a 2cm air gap between your base layer and the jacket. Tight fit kills breathability.
