Platform tested: PC (Steam) / PS5 (backward-compatible performance)
Patch size: ~2.8 GB (PC) / 1.1 GB (PS5)
Focus: Stability, DLSS/FSR fixes, controller input polish, & one hidden surprise
1. PC performance – finally stable frame pacing
The infamous Svartalfheim stutter is 90% gone. Update 1.11 introduces a new asynchronous shader cache system — no more 0.1% lows dropping to 20 FPS during realm transitions.
Result: 4K/Ultra with DLSS Balanced now holds 80–100 FPS on RTX 4070+.
2. DLSS 3.5 & FSR 3.1 native integration
Frame generation feels crisp — less UI ghosting on health bars and runic cooldown icons. FSR 3.1 on Steam Deck (OLED) makes 40 FPS feel like 60 with decent latency (tested in Alfheim). god of war ragnarok update 111exe new
3. Input latency fix for DualSense Edge
Wireless haptic feedback and trigger resistance no longer lag behind on PC. Also fixes the “stuck heavy attack” bug when parrying.
4. New “Realm Tear” quick travel option
Hidden in the settings: Post-game only — allows instant travel between Mystic Gateways without the loading cutscene. Not advertised, but discovered by data miners (yes, tied to the .exe update). If your game has not updated automatically: Reddit
5. Crash fixes
The Vanaheim crater crash (when using Sigil Arrows + Blades simultaneously) is patched. Also fixes the rare save-corrupt bug after Berserker King fight.

Reddit and Steam forums have been surprisingly positive. User Nordic_Carpenter writes:
"Update 111exe new is what the launch version should have been. Ironwood used to be a slideshow on my 3070. Now it’s a buttery 75 FPS. Thank you, Santa Monica."
However, some power users note that the patch does not address the game’s VRAM ceiling on 8GB cards. If you have a GTX 1660 or RTX 3050, expect "Medium" textures to remain the maximum stable setting.
Modding note: The popular "Skip Atreus Arrows" mod no longer works, but a community member has already released a hotfix on Nexus Mods.
