The mod introduces new handling parameters and rebalances existing cars. A Redux save expects performance tables that do not exist in vanilla. Loading such a save results in "ghost parts" or cars with impossible top speeds.

An investigative feature that traces how dedicated players, modders and sellers have turned Need for Speed: Carbon Redux save files into a niche economy and underground culture — from custom car rosters and unlocked content to illicit trade, preservation, and community ethics.

Do not drag and drop haphazardly. NFS Carbon is finicky with save encryption. Follow these exact steps:

Prerequisites:

Step 1: Backup Your Current Saves Navigate to: Documents\NFS Carbon\ Copy the Profiles folder to your desktop. We are overwriting everything.

Step 2: Disable Cloud Saves (EA App/Steam) If you use the modern EA App or Steam version, disable cloud synchronization temporarily. Otherwise, the launcher will corrupt the Redux save file by trying to "repair" it to vanilla standards.

Step 3: Extract the Archive Use WinRAR or 7-Zip. Inside the exclusive archive, you will find two items:

Step 4: Place the File Drop the .nfsps file into Documents\NFS Carbon\ (not the Profiles subfolder, the root directory).

Step 5: Rename if Necessary If you have an existing profile named "Player 1," you may need to rename the exclusive file to match your current save slot (e.g., Profile01.nfsps). However, the Redux version usually detects it automatically via a unique User ID.

Step 6: Launch and Load Start the game. At the main menu, select "Load Profile." You should see a profile named "Redux Runner [100% Unlock]" . Select it. If your game crashes, you forgot to disable cloud saves.
