Set Korg Pa5x New May 2026

If you see missing sounds or styles, or you want a clean slate:

In Korg terminology, a SET is a folder containing your Styles, Song Players, Pad contents, and Sample data. When you turn on the Pa5X, it loads a Set.

If you want to start fresh or save your current setup: set korg pa5x new

1. Save a New Set

Note: The Pa5X has a large internal SSD. You can save Sets to the internal drive or an external USB drive. If you see missing sounds or styles, or

2. Loading a Set

Updating the OS Korg frequently releases updates that fix bugs and add sounds. Note: The Pa5X has a large internal SSD

Backing Up Always keep a backup of your "Set" folder on a computer or cloud storage in case the internal drive fails.

Plug your Damper pedal (DS-1H or standard sustain) into DAMPER port. Plug an expression pedal (Korg XVP-20 or similar) into EC5/PEDAL 1.
